Petition for a Comprehensive Autism Disorder Spectrum Strategy

As many as 1 in 88 children are affected by Autism Spectrum Disorder, and individualized and intensive early interventions are important to ensure the best possible outcomes. Too many families have to wait for assessments, diagnostic services and treatment. One of the most effective treatments, the Intensive Applied Behavioural Analysis Program, is not available for children after Grade 3, despite research supporting its ongoing use throughout a person's life.

The NDP Caucus invites you to download and sign this petition, which asks for a comprehensive province-wide strategy which will improve the lives of people with autism and decrease the lifetime costs of treating and providing services for them.
